Speech Therapy
Improve speech production and overall speech intelligibility (including sound substitutions, distortions, phonological errors, and apraxia of speech), while considering oral motor and orofacial myofunctional development.

Pre/Post Release
Oral restrictions: Tongue tie (lingual), lip, or cheek (buccal) restrictions that are impacting function such as speech, eating, swallowing, or airway development
can be addressed by qualified providers (e.g., Pediatric Dentist, ENT). Speech Spot, offers comprehensive support, including pre and post-neuromuscular retraining of muscles, along with preparation for the procedure.

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy
From 5 years of age through adulthood, Speech Spot addresses atypical and maladaptive patterns stemming from abnormal function within the facial, neck, and oral musculature. This encompasses issues such as mouth breathing, oral habits, tongue/lip ties, tongue thrust, and atypical chewing and swallowing patterns. OMT may also be a part of a collaborative
treatment plan for sleep apnea.

OMT to compliment treatments
Improving orofacial muscle strength and function is vital for optimal dental health. Strengthening and retraining these muscles can enhance dental outcomes. Correct tongue posture also plays a crucial role in preventing orthodontic relapse post-treatment.

TMJ Dysfunction
Improper tongue position, teeth grinding, clenching, and stress are key factors in TMJ dysfunction, often linked to airway issues. OMT targets these issues by improving breathing, tongue posture, lip seal, and swallowing patterns, offering potential relief for TMD.
